Have you tried to uninstall the program completely and by completely i mean after uninstalling wizard is finished you have to manually delete any utorrent related files and the ones on the user & documents folder in the C drive also.
And then try to install another version "older or later one". |

If you dont want to do this manually then a utility like System Mechanic will take the guesswork out of internet - file - registry clean ups. Some had to do a clean out and install a different version of utorrent. There are examples of this at utorrent forums and all around google. Its not an isolated case. |

| Posted: Tue Apr 27, 2010 11:31 Author: On the other hand.. we are given the rare opportunity to test this software.. alpha is normally for developers to test out before the beta is released but as this is released to the public there will be the occational crash, it could be just temp as they do fix odds and ends. It is up to us in the p2p community to share the crashes with the developers to make the next stable version- stable. If it has become unmanageable then yes go back to 2.0, but remember this may only be temporary or its a collision with other softwares that are running at the time that havent been sorted out yet. |

Though not everyone - for various reasons - are in a position to collaborate with utorrent on this. I cannot speak for XxGoLDxX of course - but I got the feeling that the main priority was just to get up and running again asap...
This has been a good an informative post - thanks everyone...
