x-BOX MOD IN THE MAKING ( 3 red lights kiss my arse )

Gonna post on this from time till we get the final product. Firstly this x-box was bought on E-bay for about £24 uk pound some person attempted a bad fix. Not actually fixed yet as waiting on new heatsink and some nice parts but took case apart and have started on this..Also today went to a Carboot sale and bought another Knackered 1 for £16 uk pound worth it for spares alone and the Microsoft warranty label was still intact which is nice Pics below of case so far just cut out with jigsaw then sanded with dremmel and sand paper washed, primed and has 4 coats of plasticote paint from B and Q superstore. Cut perpex to size which was given to me by a mates brother who is manager of a sign writing firm .....

Custom cut drive out today another first for me as usually buy an xcm dvd one to match yer drive...Broke 2 discs good job had safety glasses on....no Perpex in am thinkin gonna cut down a bluray amaray case n hot glue in there as wen all together will be all blue in there just waiting on a new heatsink and jackofallgames for parts ...Put all bits back in faceplate too n hot glued em in ready now just to fix motherboard n red light issue didn't bother as would after do twice when new heatsink comes and arctic silver thermal compound not cheap......


The last pic is the heatsink in front of the fans on the CPU now cos its blocked with dust this had 2 red lights overheating lol, it powered on perfect so when i fix x-clamps it will be good not bad for £10 from carboot
Am struggling to obtain A HDD for this project anybody who has a 20g x-box hard drive cheap let me know

HardDrive should be from an xbox

there was a hack awhile back that let ya swap a 20gb with a Western Digital BEVS,,,Scorpio BEKT/BJKT,,,VelociRaptor Series...which I'm sure is cheaper than the 360 replacement. I also think you can run a 40gb in place of the 20 with the hack.

Need to put back together at weekend and put the Custom RF blue ring of light module in to match fans and then custom blue ring on controller hopefully when my smd's come
