| Posted: Fri May 14, 2010 01:43 Author:  Ok all, I can't actually say I was raided by the polcie or anything yet, BUT a file transfer done thru this site was monitored by a "Copyright Holder" and I received an official letter of warning from Verizon.
As follows:

This is a problem people, what can be done about this and how did they get my ip thru this site? I have been running hide IP for awhile now, dont remember when I started it, may have been before or after this transfer, do not know. This is the only site I use that has a public search cloud, and my Utorrent identfied the file as coming from ET

Hode ip is a problem as your ip get swapped around and if your ip falls into wrong hands they can use you ip and appear as you
stick to the basics like peerblock
and another thing you can do is if you isp and see if it
has ip hiding service pay them that few extra dollars and get them
to hide your ip for if they ask for what reason
it's simple you use a torrent clients to dl and want to be safe
or tell them your myspace and fb keep getting hacked | |

Your traffic is routed to one of their servers in the US or around the world, then that server connects to whoever you are downloading from masking your IP address. All they see is the servers IP. There is a small fee, but it is worth it. Better than getting caught and prosecuted or fined. | |
