Rima lives in Dearborn, Michigan, which is home to a large Arab-American community. She’s the first ever Arab-American to win the title and the first ever Muslim-American Miss USA. BLAST FROM PAST: Newly crowned Miss USA Rima Fakih at a ‘Stripper 101’ event in 2007. Fakih, who is the first Muslim to be crowned Miss USA, seems to have landed in trouble after photos of her pole dancing were posted on the website of a radio show following her triumph at the pageant. The radio show’s producers claim they have been contacted by the organisers of the Miss Universe competition regarding Fakih’s involvement in the show. The photos of Fakih alleged racy pole dance.
