I thought I would finally post here in order to have someone help me resolve my inability to download anything from ExtraTorrent. Up until May of 2010 I was able to download torrents without any issues. For the past 4 weeks, I am not able to download any torrents whatsoever.
I checked the forums and followed a few suggestions:
1. Instead of using Internet Explorer, I tried using Firefox and Google chrome to no avail;
2. My torrent client is Vuse. I downloaded utorrent but to no avail.
The issue occurs when I click on the "download" link. The page is not able to load.
I get this message:
CASE 1 - USING IE
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems
This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
•Internet connectivity has been lost.
•The website is temporarily unavailable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.
For offline users
You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds
1.Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view.
To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages)
1.Click Tools , and then click Work Offline.
2.Click the Favorites Center button , click History, and then click the page you want to view
CASE 2 - USING GOOGLE CHROME
When I click on the download link, it takes me back to the initial torrent info page.
CASE 3 - USING FIREFOX
When I click on the download link, I get the following message:
Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at torcache.com.
* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Can anyone assist me in resolving this matter? |
