Eva Virus

Well, I am new here and hate to make this my first post but the torrent located at:

has a file in it called Crazy-Torrent.com

When you click on it it takes you to a weird site. It puts what appears to be an antiviral program on your computer, but in reality it takes over your AV proggy and starts to lock you out of your computer. It appears to be a virus, but I did not check it that close. I was on my xp puter. I was not going to test it on the win7 64 bit one because I am still getting used to it.

I did not try the avi file as I deleted the folder.

Again, not bitching as it is just the cost of DL and it happens. Just wanted to warn others.

PS. I fixed it by deleting the folder (it was probably a little late, hehe) going to safe mode. I had to re DL my AV definitions as they were missing or corrupt. Let it run in safe mode. Then I rebooted and still had the bogy AV program. So I rebooted in safe mode and then when it tells you that you are in safe mode hit no and I took yesterday as my restore point. XP Pro SP2.

Again not bitching just reporting. I am sure we will get to know each other better as time goes on. I hope under better circumstances.

well if that is the case, i have a LOT of blockers running on my machine so I didnt see the pop-ups, any of those could be harmful for sure.
