| well most recovery disks and O/S disks give you the option during install to save all your data and back any or all of it up before you format and re install/recover.... |

| Posted: Sun Aug 01, 2010 05:32 Author: pop the drive out of its slot and connect with sata/usb cable (very cheap).. then just connect the drive as an external drive to another PC, no reformatting or booting is required to retrieve any data thats on the drive. |

| Posted: Sun Aug 01, 2010 14:38 Author: too ezy, it just unscrewes, the warrenty is only void if you open the HDD it's self.. you don't need to do that, you just slide it out of its socket (its only held in with a screw or 2) when you push it back in it re-connects.. but i guess if under warrenty then exhurst all other avenue's as surrendra stated you can very easily acsess your HDD by booting to Linux, just insert the disc and run it (not install) if you install it you will still only be able to acsess the partition the OS is installed on.
If you need some firmer assistance I will walk you through it, or Im sure many of other members will also help if i am not available. Hope you get it sorted.. The data is easily recoverable so don't worry about it too much, your only worry is which method to will choose to do it.

| Posted: Sun Aug 01, 2010 17:30 Author: LOL THE EASIEST WAY IS TO GET A SATA HDD CADDY LAPTOP AND PC HDDS ARE THE SAME SO EACH FIT IN BOTH
or pop the lappy hdd in ur pc internally as a second drive plug the power in BUT not the data cable and wen ur puter boots pop in the samller data cable and up it pops like a external hdd then get the files u want delete al partitiomns and format redy for install
THATS THE EASIESRT WAY |
