Ever wonder why Hollywood spends so much money in shutting down peer to peer and sites and why the government backs them up? Well besides the good lobbying, it’s all about control and censoring. As we all know the government loves to censor things and they also love control and power as well as Hollywood. So what does this have to do with peer to peer file sharing? Well its simple really it makes easy for people to be independent well easier than it has been in the past. Here are two reasons why peer to peer is really hated and frowned upon. Reason one and probably the most important reason of all. Censorship. Probably everything everywhere is censored to some extent. Well with peer to peer it makes it easier for an artist to just put something out there without fearing that the government will censor them or that someone up there in Hollywood doesn’t like their lyrics. Reason two and probably the biggest reason yet is money money money and more money. Peer to peer defiantly helps artist and amateur movie makers. And it also helps known artist too. A recent study done suggest that peer to peer has helped unknown artist, writers, amateur movie makers get discovered and make a ton of money. And Hollywood does not have access to this money and they can’t rip off the artist. And the government loses out on some money not all of it but some. Could they make peer to peer into a lucrative industry? Yes they could, will they? No they won’t because of reason one. Is it pointless to fight peer to peer? In the long run it will be, because no matter what they do peer to peer will continue to thrive and prosper and it will be a never ending game of cat and mouse; one that will cost you the tax payers and movie goers everywhere.
