Thanking the uploader

Hi!

I'm a relatively new member of ExtraTorrent, but I have been using your site for about six months. I love it! So thank you to the owner and moderators for running such a reliable site.

I consider it to be of utmost importance to always thank the uploader and reseed each film that I download at least 1.5 - 3 times. .....

My only question is: Why do members here "thank the uploader" before they have watched the movie or downloaded the file? It makes no sense to me.

You shouldn't be thanking the uploader until you have verified that the movie or file is legitimate. There is no reason to thank the uploader for an unviewable or incomplete file, and you can't possibly know that until you've watched the file.

Sampling or looking at screencaps is not the same as viewing the entire file.

What's up with this silly procedure of "thanking the uploader" before the file has been given the thumbs-up or thumbs-down by the membership?

It doesn't make sense! I have never seen this procedure at any other site. Saying "thanks" for incomplete films, such as "The Town?" Why would anyone even bother to post and seed an incomplete film in 8 different versions and reformats? LOL.

I don't get it.

I think that you need a better rating system on the uploads. Members should only be allowed to comment after they have watched the film.
