Rules for Movie requests? (closed)

| Since we seem to get the same folk requesting the same movies/music ect, or just the same movies being requested time and time again clogging up the forum, how about putting some ground rules in place to be followed when requesting a torrent.Something like the following,
1.You must have already used the Extratorrent search option.
2.The movie/music/request must have been actually released.
3.Only make a request once the movie/music has been on general release for at least one week.
4.You must not request anything that already has been requested.
5.The Request must have either an IMDB link or equivlent so we know exactly what is requested.
6.The name of the movie/music/item requested must be used as the subject header, anything posted as "Movie request" Movie needed" or similar will be deleted without reply.
Anyone not following these conditions could be warned/banned.And any posts not following these conditions will remain unanswered and deleted with out reply.
Well have made these suggestions to help cut out the dross requests we get all the time.
All your views and opionions on the above would be appriciated, and do you think it would be workable??
thanks,
Alf

I just think the idea of implementing more rules on et, will lead to more warnings/bans. with a site like et that has regular members running around looking to enforce rules. I can't see giving them more reasons to enforce more rules as a good idea. I guess I'm in the less rules equals more fun crowd.
another point is not too many people read the rules to begin with.
I get the concept of your idea, as it is trying to put a stop to all the nonsense requests.
I just think the morons don't have any common sense is all.
Something that might not be cured with a set of request rules.

Know what your saying, think I might have sort of made it sound more severe than I possibly intended, but more to be used as general guide lines, and then if someone thinks its workable it would be up to them above to implement in a way they find suitable.

That is precisely the reason we need to implement certain rules because on a daily basis we have all walks of life entering the site and a good 70% of them have no common courtesy or common sense thus you get comments saying crap this that will wait for dvdrip don't d/l flooding forums asking for reviews etc i would ban those people site definitely needs some standards

Here's a new member for example.
On the Due Date camxvidLU. "dsterarmy" puts down for his comments: CAN ANYBODY THESE DAYS MAKE A GOOD CAM COPY OR WHAT?????ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE PEOPLE.
This guy needs a blasting of -5's to straighten him out..he obviously has no common sense and serious character flaws.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, SaveIt4later.

Warnings and certainly bans should only be for severe break of rules, otherwise there is a risk to become ridiculous. Lack of common sense is sad and deserves pity (and perhaps a 'helping' hand), not a warning.
Deleting an 'unruly' request will be sufficient, IMO...and a p.m. or -5 to explain why would be brilliant.

AW I never got one,but did PM him with realease info/dates ect fror the film from his very first request post, but that still didnt stop repeat requests.
So how bout doing something to make sure requests are only made in the proper section of the forum instead of PM@ which you all seem to get the same ones sent out en masse.
