For Windows to automatically log on a user account during the startup process, the following must be met:

- The Welcome screen must be available
- Guest account access must be turned off
- There must be only one user account on the computer
- The user account must not have a password

To make the Welcome screen available:

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click User Accounts.
2. Click "Change the way users log on or off".
3. Click to select the "Use the Welcome screen for fast and easy logon" check box.
4. Click OK.

To turn off Guest account access:

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click User Accounts.
2. Click the Guest account.
3. Click "Turn off Guest access".

To remove the password from the user account:

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click User Accounts.
2. Click the user account.
3. Click "Remove my password".
4. Type the password in the "Type your current password" box, and then click Remove Password.

bluelady has magik hand hacked ur account hun??????lol no i cant get into the windows screen nothing just logon and like i say even the admin safe mode password is locked up so thats out of the iwndow

aunt n unc its ide yeh ive got a ide to usb caddy on its way just orderd it i was just kinda hopin to not bother with all that and find a hack or summet its just a royal pain in the arse this is y i dont do repairs no more!lol cant be chewed

so to finsih this the best and easiest option is to put the drive in a caddy and install from another pc will xp allow you to do this tho coz ive had sum wat i have dun this way and ive put the drive bak into the original machine and it bluscreens out coz its been installed elseware ?wats the best os to put in? xp home,pro sp1-2-3? wat obv gunna use the reg hack and activate so wat?which one

oh yeh so if i remove the drive and plug it in externally ther must be a way i can chqange the sam files in config to change the passwords????
