|  Posted: Tue Jan 25, 2011 19:23  Hello all, I am wanting to either A: build my own laptop ( due to making computer faster and hold more memory ) or B switching from Windows to a Mac.
I have no idea where to start on building my own computer. I would want to do something like a barebone and all i would need is the cpu, memory, and hard drive. This would allow me to not spend time looking for each part and putting it together.
Also as stated earlier i would like a Mac. Is it possible to build your own laptop with the Mac OS? Another question i have is with the command key. How would i get a computer do be like a mac in that aspect.
My main reason of getting a new laptop is that the one i have now ( HP - Compaq Pavilion dv6000 Series ) is a tad bit too slow and I would like to make the computer faster and more "up to date".
If anybody could help me on this situation it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

| Posted: Tue Jan 25, 2011 20:54 Author:  Tou can add up to 4 gig memory on it, ditch ur 1 gig sticks and by 2 2 gig sticks that is a decent laptop and should be fast also get rid of vista and go with win 7 if you already havnt. you can run a 64 bit os on that also. |

| Posted: Tue Jan 25, 2011 21:08 Author: Well you can get it a couple of ways A: you can buy it at the store or you can download it here at ET and use this to activate or remove slc services. burn iso to disc do a upgrade or I recomend a fresh install do that by booting ur pc from the disc. |

| Posted: Tue Jan 25, 2011 21:28 Author: If you do a fresh install it will reformat your hard drive will delete every thing off it you can cave all your files on a portable flash drive, hard drive or disc. or you can do a upgrade and your programs and files will still be there |

1---backup wat u wanht to save and install from boot(put dvd in before u start)
2--update---put dvd in and install in windeows when prompted as ur using vista u r able to do that much easier if u want to save all your stuff
3-- bugger it all and just do a fresh install
4--leave it as is
p.s u can put mac os on windows laptop/pc |
