The REAL reason we're all here:

The original concept of sharing seems to have gotten lost over time, you got a CD/DVD/BluRay/whatever and you want to share it with lot's of other peeps, you make it into a torrent and put it up there...other peeps are doing the same thing..so everybody get's something they want without stretching their finances...right ?...good idea or what ?


If the idea had stayed where it was in the beginning, the MPAA and the RIAA may have even overlooked the torrent world for a flash in the pan...sadly, this didnt happen, the reason ? personalities.

Poeple, with all their woes and insecurities started using the torrent world and torrent sites as killing grounds for their hate/opinions and spite. This got torrent sites noticed big time, millions of people all over the world causing mayhem against other people they either didnt know or had no idea who they were, if that isnt insecure I dont know what is.

However, torrent site owners also saw the advantages of this trend, and figured why not make a forum or two for this exchange of ideas and maybe some help lines too, great idea, and it worked, it's still working today......but, as in all things good, there are those who just have to spoil it for others...which is why some trusty members of various torrent sites were asked to moderate the forums, that was the beginning. Some mods were good, some were awful, but eventually a good compromise was reached and things settled down to what we have today.

I said this before, but i'll say it again, the Rules are for everybody, if you got a problem with the rules, either ask or log out. It's the Bosses house, the Bosses rules. We already lost one complete forum, how long before we lose another ?.

What about fun you ask !...what's fun ?...whats funny here isnt funny there, and the line between funny and sarcastic is almost invisible, your idea of 'fun' probably isnt funny anway. So to finish this diatribe, those who want to have 'fun' need to re-read the first paragraph here and do what another member of staff has already said...scroll to the top of the page, log out and dont come back.

Yeah sampsfan you and bluelady are right the MPAA is only going after us because we have personalities. And people's personalitites is what brought attention to the torrent world. what a bunch of gibberish. it had nothing to do with loss in revenue or anything? or the fact that sites such as ET are all over the place. type the word torrent and what your looking for on google search, and you get tons of torrents sites. that must be due to all the personalities.

What attracted me to ET? Was the fun and peoples personalities. The stuff you did not see on other torrent sites....
I'm not getting back into this again but today's ET you have to adjust your personality before you log in. or just don't like log in at all.
