Who's Guilty?
I had a similar problem with a program called Skype a few years back.
Skype believe they 'legally' backdoor M$ Outlook(and other programs) to homage their datacentres with source by complex codified mining algorithms and techniques for 'statistical' profiling of their users by means of their privacy infringing software.
It seems that the trend may become commercially popular.
This was never mentioned in their EULA etc.(much like Ace Translator) but, nevertheless they ignored my concerns about privacy and continued their merry way.
Despite being a despicable act there is no/zero defense in any upstanding statute or legislative process.
Like with Skype it is advisable to remove all similar software from all systems and make sure that you can eventually develop a credible defense to sink this malignant ignorance of blatant infringement.
It's a wise act that you too maintain details of their illegitimate processes.
Remember, these processes of data mining have various faces.
*Try, and if you can, buy.
*Protect users from obfuscated code, and start by informing yourselves first.
Also, don't support the accommodating software as well.
PS. Skype never included any optional settings or preferences for their users; the process was fully automated and likely remains as such to this day.
Ace Translator? We have your details!
