Bad torrents

Listen up everyone (especialy new users) stop downloading fake & bad torrent files.

Too many novice users dont know the real situation and will simply download a torrent file and find out it doesnt work, is password protected or it will ask for a special player and so on.



1) Always read the comments before downloading a file.
Most of the times someone will post a comment if the file works or NOT.

2) Any torrent file that is password protected and doesnt deliver the password with it should be avoided.
Dont visit websites to get the password, dont install any program , and dont give out any information... JUST AVOID IT

3) When you have downloaded a torrent make sure you have scanned it with a anti-virus.
*NOTE* If you have a file below 10mb you can upload it to www.virustotal.com and it will scan with multiple engines + result.

4) Before you download a torrent from an unknown uploader be sure to read all comments on the rest of his uploads.

5) If a downloaded movie or a tv-show demands you to install a special player or codec DONT do it... or you will end up with spyware or a trojan.

6) Also make sure the content matches with what someone is offering. (open the torrent file and take a look inside)

7) Dont forget to check the size of the torrent, for instance if you download a movie it should atleast be 700mb but if the filesize is only around 250mb than you know it might be bad.

Look out for people who upload many torrents in a short period of time as it could indicate a "Spammer" (example: 20 popular movies in under 15-20 minutes)
