help about online games performance

Hi friends i need a help to increase my PC's performance on playing games online...........

i play some of the facebook games like...farmville,cityville etc.....

and while playing them the cursor moves slowly like cuts....it stops in the middle and moves again and also the game is slow........

but i can play the same game in my brother's laptop with the same internet connection smoothly and fastly..........

so guys can u tell me way to increase my PC's performance??

MY PC configuration: intel pentium 4,3.0 ghz processor speed,512mb graphic card,4 gb ram,2 Mbps internet connection(LAN)(not wireless)

MY laptop configuration:intel core2 duo,2.0 ghz processor,no graphic card,2 gb ram,2 Mbps net connection(same as above)

so do i have to remove any softwares??or install any softwares??

i have adobe shockwave player and flash player latest versions updated time to time............
