Would it be wise to change my IP address?

I learned how to change my IP address. It only takes a few minutes. Should I change my IP address right before and right after a p2p download? Would that increase my level of security?

Please note: my IP address is comprised of anywhere between 8 and 10 numbers. I can never change the first seven numbers: 75.85.175. Those seven numbers always remain the same.

I live in California, have high speed
cable with Time Warner and have zero experience
with p2p file sharing. I was going to post this at
suprbay.org, but their site appears to be alternating
between either being down or it downloads in super
super slow motion, even with high speed cable.

I'm beginning to gather that avoiding spam and fake copies (I think 'fake copies' is the proper term/what you mean) is a whole 'nother science. Just one more subject for students to master. :lol:
