| It really depends on what suits yourself and gives you the quality you want for the finished product.
The most common movie files uploaded are .AVI/.MP4 and .MKV.
You can also look at what format will optimise the appeal of your upload, things like what do folk use to view their d/loads on.
I say this as for folk that use thier computer, almost all formats will do,again for things like the Xbox/PS3 they will only play .wmv, .avi, .divx, H.264, MPEG-4 formats.
try different formats for the same DVD,and see which you think is best for you,and also explore the different settings for ripping/file size ect as these can make a difference to final product.
this might help you out,

I personally think its all about trying different settings/formats and trial and error till you find what you like and feel is good enough to upload.
Even then once you get up and running with DVDFab,there are loads of other ways to rip.I am now on my third type of ripping/encoding apps since I started uploading and I find its a style that suits me.

Also works great on xbox360 and ps3.
| I use to use autoGK,but not anymore,I found Handbrake, and IMO far supperior to AGK,it will convert to MP4 or MKV.
Really easy to use and easy to change settings if you need. Also think its better quality end product than AGK
Handbrake
To decrypt the DVD's I use DVD shrink, again very easy to use DVD Shrink
Tutorial here on ET,

give it a try if you want,or if your comfortable with AGK,then go ahead and try experimenting with the settings, its the best way to learn.[
when i used aaaaagk, just let it rip at first, and files were normally bout1.2 to 1.5GB and didnt really notice much difference when brought down to 700 to 800mb sizes/b]
