LineAge servers in the U.S. will be closed on June 29 in the game no longer economically profitable. NCsoft has announced it will return all sums paid in advance. If Game Time Cards were purchased, they can be used on other securities NC Soft.

Lineage was released in 1998, the most important MMO until 2005, when it was released World of Warcraft. At its peak (2003-2004), Lineage reached about 3 million users.

NCsoft currently has four titles in assets (Aion, City of Heroes, Guild Wars, Lineage II) and two games in production (Guild Wars Lineage 2 and 3).
