| Posted: Sat May 14, 2011 21:16 Author:  Here goes, fixin a laptop 4 a friend, toshiba l300 20 d need to get to bios,to delete partition its running win vista, well it wud b if it worked, so far tried f6 f7 f8 f9 f 10 f11 f12 to no avail anyone got an idea how to get in the bios once am there the rest is easy enough if i recall correctly, thanks in advance,oh yea it wont boot up just shows the little windows is starting up logo for several hours |

| Posted: Sat May 14, 2011 23:12 Author:  lol u dont need to getinto bios to delete partitions just stik a se7en disk in and do it from ther or plug hd in ur pc if its a sata drive plug into ur mobo on ur pc direct like u would normal hdd as a hd only uses the power it needs it will work fine with the same pins u ise for 3.5 inch drives
faialing that get a caddy
windows disk is best or hirens boot cd is golden
or ,listen to that southern monkey up ther and go do a woman and read the manual
buttons to try on boot

| To enter BIOS, tap "Delete" whilst booting machine, but you can't delete a partition from within the bios.
You could always use Fdisk from a DOS boot disk but if I remember right this will wipe all the contents of the harddrive.
Paragon do a decent hard drive management utility with which you can add, remove or alter partitions without affecting any stored data, or so they claim, so tread with care.

| you dont need bios to erase a partition or even a bioot disk, if you goto system tools in windows start menu and disk management, you can format,create,delete or even stripe( thats how you make R.A.I.D hdd's) partitions from there its dead easy just right click the partition you wish to remove and delete it!!! and then stretch the other partition to take up whole hdd  |
