Sengoku
is a strategy game developed by Paradox Interactive, which will be released for PC in autumn 2011. Players will take the reins of a noble family in Japan, since 1467, during the civil war. After Ashikaga dynasty collapsed, the entire region is dominated by chaos because of power struggle.

Players will have to send armies against iniamicilor samurai, ninja feared to order assassinations, and negotiate with foreign powers (the Netherlands, Portugal), the ultimate goal being to bring together under one power Rising Sun Country.

From a historical perspective, the struggles of the years 1467-1477 called Onin War, was initiated by a controversy over his successor Ashikaga shogunate.
