How To Burn Video Files With ConvertXtoDVD

This tutorial will teach you how to use ConvertXtoDVD to convert your video files
(.avi .mp4 etc) on to a DVD disc.
After you have converted your video files to DVD, they will be playable in nearly
any type of DVD player.
For this you need ConvertXtoDVD.
You can download it from HERE

After you have downloaded and installed ConvertXtoDVD (installation is simple and self-explanatory),
open it via the shortcut in your Start menu or shortcut on the desktop.

Before we start adding videos, we need to configure a few settings. Click "Settings" and
then "General." Now that your settings are open, click "Audio."

Make sure you have those exact settings for best results.

Next, click the "Encoding" tab.

Copy those settings, but under "Target size"
you will need to choose the correct setting, depending on how much your DVD disc is capable of holding.
If you're using a simple DVD-R, keep the setting as it is in the screenshot.

Those are all of the necessary settings, the others you can go and edit if you please,
they're all pretty self-explanatory. I won't bother including screenshots, but a few things
to make sure of are that you keep it at 4x burn speed and make sure you don't change around
the default settings in the "DVD specification" tab unless you need to change them for a
particular file. Other than the settings mentioned, everything else can be left to defaults
and should work fine, the rest is up to preference.

Now that ConvertXtoDVD has the proper settings, locate your video file and then drag it into
the blank white area of ConvertXtoDVD. If you prefer to do it a different way, you may click
the "Add video files" button.

After you've added your movie, it will look like this:

You may press the plus sign next to the text
that says "Titleset #1" to see and edit some of the settings. The only thing I'm going to
talk about is the "Subtitle" option. All of these other settings can be left alone (if you
want to edit some of the settings then go for it, but it is not necessary), and only mess
with the subtitle option if you have the subtitles for your video file and would like to
include them. Right click on "Subtitle" and add your subtitle file.

Now, be sure that you have all your desired
settings chosen. You may choose a particular menu or create chapters at certain points, edit
the title of the disc, etc. As for me, I don't really care about that stuff, I just need the
video on a DVD so I can have it backed up. If you're like me, then just leave all these
settings at their defaults. If you want to tweak anything, do so now, because we are ready
to burn the video to DVD.

Be sure that your DVD disc is inserted into your DVD drive, and then click "Convert." The
conversion can take quite a while, and the burning itself may take 15-30 minutes. It's best
to leave your computer alone, particularly during the burning, so nothing gets interrupted.
Once the video file is converted, it will automatically burn to DVD and eject when it's
finished. All that's left for you to do is hit the convert button and walk away. Come back a
little later and your DVD will be ready.
