i need help with new laptop!

am having a big problem with a laptop that i purchased from a friend.
it's a TOSHIBA L675. i wanted to do a clean install of windows 7. so i went on and wiped the drive clean, and installed windows 7. everything went great on-till i tried to connect to my network. i noticed that my router wasn't showing up on the laptop, so i tried to connect via ethernet, and nothing..so i called my isp so they could help me with the problem, but come to find out that this laptop is missing, Local area connection, and Wireless network connection..i have never deal with this before or kno how to install it so if theirs someone out there that knows what this is or knows how to install it please help me out! thanks in advance..
