As more people are getting smart phones and apps get more and more popular, a new way of downing loading torrents is also appearing. Now downloading torrents on your smart phone has just gotten easier thanks to a few new apps.

One of these apps is called iTransmission, sadly for right now however its jailbreak only. So this means that iphone, ipad, or iPod touch would have to be jail broken before you can get this app (which can be done at repo.insanelyi.com) and it is totally free. Now this app I personally found rather useful, however the AT&T network rather slow and sluggish made downloading torrents rather painful. But if you’re on the go and got time this app is just for you then.

Another option and probably a better one is an upcoming web app called NowStream. It lets you grab a torrent link, copy it into the web browser on your iphone, and stream the contents of the torrent instantly on your device. Meaning, yes, you can stream torrents to your iphone without a jailbreak using this app! Unfortunately, NowStream is still sorting out some legality at the moment, but you can sign up at their website to get notified as soon as they launch. [Cult of Mac; NowStream]
