Fast Five Blu-ray (Updated)

Universal Studios Home Entertainment is set to release Fast Five (the fifth installment in The Fast and the Furious action franchise) on October 4th. The film, which features an ensemble cast including Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris and Sung Kang, will be released in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack with a digital copy. A DVD packaging combo pack with identical contents will also be made available.

Fast Five kicked off the summer movie season last April and silenced any doubters who predicted that the franchise was running out of gas. The film pulled in an astonishing $86 million in its opening weekend and has currently racked up over $600 million in worldwide box office sales.

Update: Universal has further detailed the release. Fast Five will be presented in a 2:35:1 aspect ratio with DTS HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. Special features will include:
