Germany, 1589: the townspeople of Cologne pronounce the death sentence on a mass-murderer who has stalked the countryside in the guise of a ferocious wolf.
Episode 1 Opening: I moved the first (werewolf trial in the past) scene to pre-title music. To elimate the end of the original opening music, I faded up over the corresponding drum from the music soundtrack. I brought the opening music in over the werewolf scream.
Episode 1 Cliffhanger: used the same sound effect from the next episode's recap to bring the end sting in over.
Episode 2 Intro: Tricky - due to this scene not being at the end of the previous episode. I used music from the soundtrack, a tape click from episode 1 and a quick fade into the recorded voice. It was impossible to completely eliminate the 1963 theme without losing some speech - but it was almost inaudible at the point the speech starts, and is only and barely noticeable with headphones.
Episode 2 Cliffhanger: I mixed the end of the growl from the recap on episode 4, also adding some train background effect over the sting.
Episode 3 Intro: Used a fade in from train background effect mixed with the same sequence from the end of the previous episode.
Episode 3 Cliffhanger: Used the same sequence from the next episode's recap to bring the sting in over.
Episode 4 Intro: I found it impossible to recreate this as per the original - soudn balance of music, effects and action didn't work. So I extended the recap by about 12 seconds, bringing it in just before the background music starts, using the action from the end of the previous episode.
Episode 4 Ending: Faded out and applied reverb and delay over the TARDIS and howl, bringing the closing music in over that as per original.
The stereo mix of the opening and closing theme is my own work, not the BF version.
