Dark Latin Rock from Costa Rica
Juan Shamán Juan Shamán is Jenaro A. Díaz-Ducca's solo project. In his first CD, "Reëvolución", Juan Shamán combines rock, dark, new wave and Latin rhythms such as bolero and son.
Highly experimental music, his lyrics also evidence different influences: symbolism, post-Romanticism... In his own words, "these are romantic songs without being love songs; and they are love songs without being quite romantic..."
"The name Juan Shamán reflects our Latin American mixed blood. Thus, we try to preserve and enrich our mestizo identity, and at the same time project it into the present and future..."
